Make it Monday #318
Simple Stitched Stems
My card was inspired by Michelle Leone's card on this week's
MIM challenge on the PTI blog. She did a super job on her first
ever video as a PTI design team contributor. I was also inspired
by my friend Greta who frequently uses felt in her projects and
did for this same challenge. Truly this is a case of her project.
I made a bookmark for a retired teacher friend's birthday.
The back was finished with another Basic Bookmark 2 cut
from Autumn Rose card stock. This is my first stitching on a
paper crafting item that I can recall. What a fun challenge!

Papertrey Ink supplies:
Oopsie! Daisy stamps & dies provided the stem, leaves and Scarlet Jewel felt flower.
Bitty Button Stacks dies cut the Lavender Moon & Limeade Ice felt flower parts
Infinity Phrase Sentiments for the lilac colored "LOVE YOU"
What a great idea to make a bookmark! This is absolutely charming.
ReplyDeleteSweet as pie! and what a treasure to give your friend. I really love the felt flowers and the sentiment inside the leaf shape! Beautifully done and BRAVO!! on your first stitching on paper crafts : )

That is one adorable bookmark. Love how you added the stitching.
ReplyDeleteThis is just so beautiful, Vikki--lucky friend to get this bookmark! So fun we both made felt flowers--love the color combo you used & the curved stem!
