Easter Afternoon Cards

Today I stamped several die cuts creating a set of three cards
and found a fun wood stamp suitable for CASology's challenge.
First the card set featuring a gorgeous Altenew zinnia!

Happy Birthday

I've had several stamped panels with Concord & 9ths' Tree Ring waiting to be transformed into cards. This week's CASology cue word is "Squiggle" and I was ready.

hakuna matata

How could I pass up this challenge from CASology
and Time Out?

Last June I purchased Hero Arts' MMH kit. We have friends who have spent many years in Malawi and other African nations doing relief work in health and education. We were headed to Kenya in July 2017 with a church group to construct a school and now I could recreate those African safari scenes with this kit!

I photographed the card on top of a South African
copper telephone wire basket.

Below is a photo of the campus where we constructed two buildings (dark brown roofs). The older campus buildings are at the bottom. Two more groups followed ours and completed the campus  of five buildings and a large restroom. My husband and another dentist ran a dental clinic treating over 100 patients in five days.

Big Day

I was amused to see the CASology challenge this week - "BUG".
I had planned to use one of my insect rubber stamps but an older A Muse
VW bug stamp with its load of presents popped up first. It was stamped in
Momento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics and grounded with a stamped
road from PTI's City Scene. It will work for spring birthdays or graduations.

Sending Birthday Hugs & Wishes

On October 1 a dear friend turns 65. We first became friends in 1974. While we have not lived near each other in 41 years we can begin a conversation as if we saw each other daily. She has a collection of mice so when my new Christmas Critters set arrived I was ready to decorate her birthday card.

Card Menu: Papertrey Ink stamps, dies and olive twist card stock and a miscellaneous bit of patterned paper; Inks: Hero Arts Soft Purple and Grape Juice shadow, Brilliance Pearl Beige; a gold wink of stella heart.

After re-reading the CASology rules my card front may be a bit busy for a clean and simple look. I kept the layers to a minimum with the frame containing the big element of the "cute" mouse!
