Birthday wishes

Make It Monday #285: Felt Flowers

The challenge this week featured Lizzie Jones who shared a felt flower tutorial on
her blog Don't Forget to Write. It's full of ideas and many beautiful creations which
she uses on gifts and tags. I no longer use hot glue guns due to past finger burning
incidents. (Grin)  Instead I created a flat flower using a Kay Miller mandala die and
two leaf die-cuts from Gran's Garden, an idea I cased off Dawn McVey's card from
the April release week. It turned out better than I thought it might because 1) my
stash of old patterned paper contained this dotty gem and 2) the PTI lavender moon
card stock. The mandala base is cut from PTI tiny dot vellum and mounted on foam
tape hidden behind all of the felt die cuts. A dot of lime green Stickles to the flower
center finished the flower. The sentiment is a favorite from PTI Winter Woods.
I really love the PTI wool felt. This card will be mailed to a friend next week.

A Day to Celebrate

Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge

This month's yummy inspiration print from irtsya

and now for my interpretation for this month's PTI Blog Hop

I misted my stamps after inking to get a softer, water colored look.

While the supplies were out, I made another card, same design.
Card #2 uses different colors but the same stamp and
die sets with paint chips die cut for the flowers and bow.

Zappy Birthday

Create Along With Us: May 2017

 Nichole's card

When I saw this card from Nichole Heady on day 5 of the May release, I thought of my
PTI Triangle Cover Plate. It provided the inspiration for my 7 year-old grandson Luca's
birthday card. He's a quirky boy, no flowers for him!

PTI dies: Triangle Cover Plate, Zappy Birthday
Stamp: Zappy Birthday; Copic markers
