Thanks for thinking of me

Make it Monday #328:
Shadow Backgrounds

When Laurie's MIM challenge was featured on PTI's blog I was excited because stamping background shadow images a lot of fun! I needed a thank you card for a Mexican pottery piece a friend gave me from her Epcot trip. I used Ink It In to design my background. Two panels were die cut from tropical pink pattern paper and white linen using the Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical die set. I stamped the white panel with the pen outline three times using Soft Stone ink and filled in one pen with tropical colors. The two panels were layered on an orange striped panel covering a side-folded white card. A sentiment from Simple Stems and pink-orange twine completed my thank you note. My next PTI order will include the Ink It In dies which were out of stock during my recent purchase.

P.S. If you click on the photo, you may pick up the shadow pens easier.
I probably should have stamped them twice but in real life it looked
just right. The card was mailed today.

  2. Another lovely card; I love how you took the white panel right to the edge of the card!

  3. Pretty card and I really like the soft, summery colors on it. I can see the shadowed pens with no problem.

    2. Thanks, Lainey. Totally unexpected. I'm not sure why my luck for winning has bunched up in May and July but I'll take it. I only wish PTI had more dies in stock because that is what I'd like to purchase.
