May Blossoms

A month goes by quickly when spring arrives with flowers and weeds to admire and eradicate along with many birthday cards to make. The birthday cards will be posted soon but today I'm sharing two cards made with Altenew's Book Club stamps and dies

Card #1

The first card's floral image was inked in green, re-inked with VersaMark ink and clear embossed. Using Altenew alcohol markers, I colored the flowers and leaves and then die cut the floral image. The center circle was stamped with a PTI Walk by Faith sentiment. The floral die cut was attached with temporary tape to a lavender panel covered with a strip of Altenew's Gilded Ombre washi tape and then adhered to a white side-folding card. The focal point may be removed and used as a bookmark.

Card #2

This time the focal image was stamped with VersaMark ink, embossed with Ranger Fine Gold EP, and the center removed with a die from the Book Club set. Another floral image was cut from PTI vellum and a Butterfly Blooms sentiment was gold embossed in the center. Once more Altenew's Gilded Ombre washi tape was added to a card stock panel which was trimmed with a SSS Stitched Rectangle die. Gold sequins were added to complete the panel which was directly adhered to a PTI autumn rose card.

  1. Beautiful cards, and the inspiration from your garden is equally beautiful. We are behind you (always) with the bloom factor, but more than usual this year because of cool temperatures. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be gorgeous, and planting and potting are first on the agenda. Then, I hope, a trip to the craft room. After being away 10 days, I'm finding it hard to get back into routines. Your watercoloring is gorgeous!
