Make It Monday #258: Cover Plate Tags
Laurie demonstrated the use of cover plates to decorate gift tags. I chose the Cover Plate: Modern Cross Quilt and Triangle dies for my two tags made from the PTI Tag Sale 4 die. Kay Miller's new Stylized Autumn stamp and die set arrived yesterday so they were put to immediate use! On a previous video Laurie used a spray adhesive to glue down intricate die cuts and that tip has been a lifesaver.
I love this darling fox!
Linked to Make It Monday challenge and since I used a never-
before-used-stamp set & die linked to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #7
That's another adhesive I need to try! These tags are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCute, cute tags...I so have to get my fox out and play with him! Thanks for the inspiration!! :0)
ReplyDeleteI saw your project linked at the NBUS challenge and just had to come see it in more detail. Cute tags! I am now your newest follower and would be honored if you visited my blog and became a follower too. http://karenskreativekards.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteSquee! These are just darling, Vikki! You did an amazing job with the sweet little fox and cover plate to make your tags! I will have to check out which spray Laurie recommended. I tried some ages ago that didn't work too hot and I have a devil of a time with some of the more intricate dies. Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #7! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeletethanks, Darnell! The brand is Elmer's Craft Bond. Laurie holds the die cut with tweezers and lightly sprays the back. If you wait a few seconds, it allows you to move it a bit. Jennifer McGuire recently said that she had picked this up from Laurie.
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! I just got this set, but I haven't inked up the fox yet...
