Happy Birthday

Nichole Heady's inspiration this month was from the art gallery of Victoria Johnson.  What a bounty of colors, patterns and spring floral images we were provided.  My first card is a direct reflection of Victoria's dark navy poster, a fun look and quite a bit busier than my usual style. I had planned to stamp the images in white and again in color but instead made many die cuts and played with the colors and design. PTI stamps and dies were used on my cards.

    Inspiration #1                                                                                            Card #1

                                                                                            Stamps:
                                                                                            Botanical Blocks (sentiment), Brushed Blooms
                                                                                            Oopsie Daisy, Stylized Autumn
                                                                                            Dies:
Brushed Blooms, Oopsie Daisy, Stylized Autumn
Tag Sale: Quilted (banner), Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical

Card #2

This card reflects a more CAS style with similar color tones, a yellow bird, and a floral cluster.  I made enough die cuts to create four thank you cards too! Note to self: when using dies, create an abundance and play!

                                                                        Stamps & Dies:
                                                                        Oopsie Daisy, Songbirds, Stylized Autumn
                                                                        Other dies:
Noted: Scalloped A2; also a Marvy daisy punch

  6. Both cards are lovely, Vikki! I, too, was out of my comfort zone, but it's fun to do once in awhile. Thanks for the reminder to die cut extras...as I rarely do. I'm always too focused on my design at the moment. 😊
