Back home again to PTI's 10th

Time to Celebrate

On January 15 Jim and I drove our Winnebago down the hill to wander for seven weeks in southern Arizona and California. Four weeks visiting Lake Havasu, Yuma, El Centro's Rio Bend RV, Palm Desert, Anza-Borrego Springs State Park, and ending at Mission Bay in San Diego for three weeks. We learned a few things about rv life and places we will return to another year. But, because our rv is only 25' we did not take any card crafting materials with us and I really missed it! Reading crafters' blogs is fun but missing all the challenges was not, and especially Papertrey Inks.

We returned last week. After washing at least 12 loads of laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, opening a pile of mail and entering all the bank info into Quickbooks/reconciling statements, I finally gave myself permission to craft! Yeah! Even a new box from PTI's January sale was waiting to open and enjoy. Now some cards for this momentous 10th anniversary of Papertrey Ink!

10th Anniversary Challenge: Altered Envelope

I do not use a planner other than my iPhone calendar so I was pleased that Lexi included a challenge with a card and adorning its envelope. PTI Noted Scalloped Vertical Die to cut the butterfly paper, the 2016 Celebrate Big stamp & die for the layered sentiment and flag which was mounted on a saffron spice top-folding card. The envelope was stamped with butterflies from Beautiful Butterflies. My card was taken to a surprise 50th birthday for a dear friend this weekend. Linked to: Altered Envelope

10th Anniversary Challenge: Multiply

March 2017 Release Day 2

My card was a complete case of one from Keeway Tsao  for this challenge.  PTI Brushed Off stamps were stamped in a light gray; the Cover Plate Triangles die provided the triangles painted with a gold Wink of Stella pen; the Swoosh sentiment was stamped in Delicata gold with some black spatters. 10th Anniversary Challenge: Favorite Florals

March 2017 Release Day 3

I have at least a dozen PTI floral sets, many of which are a favorite. This new to me Floribunda Frame die was waiting in the box when I arrived home and it had to be used, right? I die cut it from water color paper thinking to use my water pen and distress inks. Instead I used copic markers which need to get more use in my craft room. Mounting it on a gray panel and stamping the PTI Winter Woods sentiment made for an easy-peasy design which I'm going to repeat a few more times!! I really like this die! Linked to: Favorite Florals

  2. Sounds like a great trip & early enough not to hit the triple digits, I hope! We used to say we would become full-time RVers, but decided I'm really not up for that. We've never been gone more than 7 days, but maybe we'll venture a little further one of these days. Your cards are absolutely wonderful, Vikki! I especially love the last one & have to add that die to my wishlist now!
