Sending Prayers

Experimented this afternoon with some watercoloring and making scribble die cuts look like flowers, a bit loose on my interpretation of Marika's card . Her coloring technique is stunning and is featured on the latest Time Out challenge - Case With Your Own Twist.

After brushing some wet ink on water color card stock, I scored the panel to imitate her vertical line and die cut flowers using an old pattern paper.

Card Recipe:
Ink: Distress shaded lilac & squeezed lemonade, Versafine Onyx Black
Stamps/Dies: PTI Circle Scribbles, Beautiful Butterflies-sentiment, SSS stitched rectangles
Platinum Stickles for floral centers

  1. love how you have made the score lines and your scribble dies do look like flowers. Great to see you at TO

  2. What a fabulous interpretation of Marika's card, Vikki ... love these scribble circle blooms! The layering up of the die cuts, the scoring and the stamping adds such fabulous dimension! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)

  3. You really made the inspiration your own with this lovely watercolor card. Fabulous score lines, and wonderful scribble blooms. Beautiful!

  4. What a fabulous card, Vikki! It's a bit odd, but your card is the second one I've seen in the last hour that used those scribble flowers in a way that I like, so now you, too, have inspired me to get the darn things out and use them! Thank you!! Enjoy your day!! Hugs, Darnell
