DAY 1 - STRETCH YOUR STAMPS: BACKGROUND STAMP
I'm so excited to be back in class again this summer! Yeah for new ideas! I chose to work with the Hero Arts zig-zag background stamp. Inking the stamp with VersaMark ink on colored paper, I clear embossed & used 3 circle punches to make various sized circles. The sentiment & frame are from Paper Trey Ink.
Next white card stock was stamped with the zig-zag stamp using Soft Gray Shadow Ink. Ranger Distress inks were used to stamp the flower stamps (Impress) on white card stock & then I fussy cut them to layer on top of stamped stems. The zig-zag background with flowers was adhered to a golden yellow A2 card; a thin dark gray strip on right side of card had a postage stamp punch edge. The "Thank You" square from a Hero Arts "T" clear stamp set was inked with Fresh Ink slate pigment ink.
The final card for today is more masculine, using Versa Mark ink to stamp the zig-zag stamp on a kraft A2 card. Ranger Distress inks were used to stamp the rainbow colored banner on white card stock & a thinner orange banner from BasicGrey's "life of the party" 6x6 pad was layered over this. Two oval Nestabilities dies were used for the frame set & a sentiment from Hero Arts OWH clear Year Round Sentiments. The tiny orange heart was punched out of BG's orange paper, attached with a pop dot & covered with Glossy Accents to add some shine.
each of your cards for day 1 turned out fabulous. And each is so different from the other. You wouldn't recognize they used the same stamp in common. hate trying to proof at end, if you want future comments, I know many in class won't bother with proofing, you may want to try to remove?
