Papertrey March Ink Blog Hop

Today I joined the Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop for the first time ever.  I've always admired the submissions in the past and decided to join in this month.

My aunt & uncle in Texas have a 55th wedding anniversary next month. I used the Botanical Blocks: Rose image coloring the leaves with Copic markers and the background with Prismacolor pencils. Stamping the image again on a tone on tone striped yellow paper, I fussy cut the rose and mounted it on foam tape for more dimension.  I added some shine to the rose with a clear Wink of Stella pen which is impossible to see in the photo. Inside the card I stamped the Quilted: Spring love sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamp: Botanical Blocks
Paper: Pebbles 6x6 Garden Party paper pad, PTI A2 card
Ink: Momento Black
Copics, Prismacolor pencils, Sharpie pen, Wink of Stella pen

  5. You can't go wrong with flowers, gingham and polka dots!!
Your yellow rose is perfect for a Texas anniversary. It reminded me of childhood car trips when my dad would start a sing along and one of his favourites was the "Yellow Rose of Texas", which seems kind of funny now since we live in Canada! LOL!
