Papertrey March Ink Blog Hop

Today I joined the Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop for the first time ever.  I've always admired the submissions in the past and decided to join in this month.

My aunt & uncle in Texas have a 55th wedding anniversary next month. I used the Botanical Blocks: Rose image coloring the leaves with Copic markers and the background with Prismacolor pencils. Stamping the image again on a tone on tone striped yellow paper, I fussy cut the rose and mounted it on foam tape for more dimension.  I added some shine to the rose with a clear Wink of Stella pen which is impossible to see in the photo. Inside the card I stamped the Quilted: Spring love sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamp: Botanical Blocks
Paper: Pebbles 6x6 Garden Party paper pad, PTI A2 card
Ink: Momento Black
Copics, Prismacolor pencils, Sharpie pen, Wink of Stella pen

Spring is Here - Yeah!

I found my neglected PTI Oopsie Daisy set this week and created this card. First I pressed Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks on an acrylic block, misted with water and smooshed a piece of 140 lb. watercolor paper on the block.
After drying the paper with the heat tool, I die cut several different sized daisies from it. The petal die cut pieces were glued on top of bright yellow solid daisy die cuts. Stems and leaves were stamped with Momento Pear Tart ink. The floral group was grounded with a strip of wash tape.

MAKE IT MONDAY #205:

CONFETTI CLUSTER STAMPING

The  Make It Monday  challenge this week was Lizzie Jone's 1st MIM video.
Using the first set of stamps/dies Trendy Tree Tops that I ordered from
Papertrey Ink three years ago, I traced 3 of the foliage circle dies
and filled each with various little leaf and flower stamps from several
PTI stamp sets, finishing with a sentiment from the new PTI Swoosh set.
What a fun way to create a new, springy look!

Stamps: PTI Hugs, Note Niblets, Ruby Rose, Swoosh, Trendy Tree Tops; Art Impression grass
Inks: Momento Angel Pink, New Sprout, Pear Tart
Distress Ink Antique Linen, Picked Raspberry
Hero Arts Shadow Butter Bar, Soft Canteloupe, Wet Cement
 Lifestyle Crafts Chain embossing folder

With sympathy

Recently card designer, Heather Nichols, posted a series of sympathy cards @  Pine Feather Sympathy Cards for the March 6 Papertrey Ink Team Tips blog. This prompted me to case these cards with my supplies and replenish my sympathy card stash. On the final card below I used a new PTI stamp and die set - Quilted: Spring.
